Amazon Invests in Geothermal Energy Sources for Data Centers

Amazon has officially entered the geothermal energy market by signing a major deal with NV Energy in Nevada. This partnership aims to supply Amazon data centers with 700 MW of green energy. Thus, Amazon joins tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Meta. This is reported by Ixbt.com .

The core of the deal will be executed by the startup Zanskar. The company uses artificial intelligence algorithms to identify hidden underground geothermal reservoirs, significantly reducing exploration costs. Under the 20-year contract, these projects are scheduled to be operational by 2030.

Shuningdek, kelishuv doirasida Primergy kompaniyasi bilan hamkorlikda 600 MVt quvvatli quyosh panellari va shuncha hajmdagi akkumulyator tizimlarini oʻz ichiga olgan gibrid majmua quriladi. Bu Amazonʼga quyosh energiyasidan kechayu kunduz foydalanish va maʼlumotlar markazlarining uzluksiz ishlashini taʼminlash imkonini beradi.

Nevada is becoming a key hub for digital infrastructure in the US. For Amazon, this is its first experience working with geothermal sources, marking a significant step in the company's strategy to reach net-zero carbon emissions and develop renewable resources.
