
A Youth Socio-Economic Center is planned to be established in the Khodjeyli district of Karakalpakstan. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice, referring to a decree by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It is planned to set up an IT university on the territory of the center, as well as to launch technoparks and innovation support groups. In addition, manufacturing enterprises will be created to provide employment for youth.
A directorate for the center will be established as a state institution under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic. Besides, social sector facilities are expected to be handed over free of charge from the investor to government bodies.
