Now, medical care funded by the state budget can be obtained at both public and private medical institutions in Uzbekistan. This decision was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the document, free medical care will be provided to all citizens at the district and city levels, while at the republican level it is intended only for patients belonging to privileged categories. To receive treatment funded by the state budget, you need to contact your local polyclinic.
A family doctor will conduct an examination and, if necessary, refer the patient to a narrow specialist. The specialist is required to receive the patient within one working day.
If inpatient treatment is necessary, the doctor will issue a referral to a district or city hospital through an electronic system. For treatment in republican institutions, the referral will be reviewed by a special medical commission within two working days.
