The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has responded to reports regarding the "vulnerability" of its photo and video recording system. Earlier, it had been reported that through this system, it might be possible to monitor vehicle movements across the country.
It was noted that the system was supplied by China's Maxvision company. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the recording devices are installed by entrepreneurs, and information related to traffic violations is transmitted to a unified "Administrative Practice" system.
The systems undergo strict cybersecurity checks, and personal data of citizens is not displayed in photos or videos. Citizens can only view their own fines via special links or apps, which display violations related exclusively to them.
The ministry emphasized that the system is fully secure and meets all safety requirements.
