Uzbekistan’s GDP to reach $167 billion

Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to reach $167 billion next year. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this during his address to the Oliy Majlis. The country also plans to implement the “Doubling Production and Efficiency” program. Within this program, $200 million in international loans and grants will be attracted. In addition, a “Fourth Industrial Revolution Center” will be established in Uzbekistan. The center will work on introducing “Industry 4.0” solutions, including robotics, the Internet of Things, and “smart factories.” Companies will be able to test new technologies before applying them in production.
