4,300 illegal migrants to be deported from Russia


In Russia, more than 4,300 illegal migrants will be deported from the country within the framework of the "Illegal-2025" operation. This was announced by Tatyana Petrova, head of the press service of the Moscow region Department of Internal Affairs.

According to her, courts have issued over 4,300 decisions on administrative expulsion of migrants who have committed legal violations. During the operation, nearly 15,700 violations in the migration sphere were identified.

Police officers revealed thousands of violations relating to migration laws. In particular, over 10,000 protocols were drawn up for violations of the period of stay and rules in Russia, and in more than 2,100 cases, foreigners' illegal employment was identified.

Furthermore, employers who hired migrants without permits were not left unattended — over 1,600 administrative cases were initiated against them. In addition, investigative bodies have opened 748 criminal cases.

The most common violations include registering arrivals with false addresses (430 cases) and forgery of migration-related documents (235 cases). Also, crimes connected to the illegal circulation of narcotic substances were detected — 29 criminal cases on this issue, and 24 other cases for other violations, were initiated.

The first stage of the operation was held from June 16 to 25 this year, while the second stage took place from October 13 to 22.
