Chinkvini Says Safonov's Future at PSG Likely on the Bench

Former manager of the Russian national team Oreste Cinquini has shared his views on Matvey Safonov's prospects with France's PSG club. According to the expert, Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique will continue to rely on Lucas Chevalier as the primary goalkeeper, despite Safonov's impressive performance in the Intercontinental Cup final.

"In my opinion, Chevalier will return to goal for the French league and Champions League matches. Yes, Safonov had a fantastic night, but I think his future at PSG will be on the bench," Cinquini was quoted as saying by RB Sport.

This season, Safonov has appeared in four matches across all competitions. He conceded three goals and kept a clean sheet in two of the games.
