Trump strongly demanded a nuclear-weapon-free deal from Iran

US President Donald Trump stated on January 31 that a "satisfactory" deal should be concluded with Iran. According to him, one of the main conditions of such an agreement is the non-appearance of nuclear weapons in Tehran. Trump made these remarks while answering journalists' questions while flying to Florida aboard an Air Force One aircraft.

The White House leader acknowledged ongoing negotiations with Iran, calling them "serious negotiations." However, he didn't explicitly state what Washington would do or what step it would take. Earlier, he also indicated that the decision could be made based on the results of the negotiations. That is, the mood of "it's good if there's an agreement for now, if not - we'll see later."

At the same time, Trump said that, for security reasons, he would not fully inform his allies in the Middle East about the possible action plan in advance. In short, his explanation is this: to disseminate a plan is tantamount to destroying it.

Against this backdrop, reports of the US deploying additional forces to the region are also being mentioned: a strike group led by the aircraft carrier "Abraham Lincoln" was reportedly dispatched near the Iranian coast. This naturally increased concerns about whether there would be a direct confrontation.

It is noted that Tehran has warned that it may respond to a potential attack by striking targets belonging to the US and its allies, including Israeli bases and ships. Trump, however, expressed confidence that Iran would prefer an agreement on nuclear and missile programs over war.
