
As of December 1, 2025, a total of 17,900 enterprises with foreign investment are operating across Uzbekistan. This figure clearly demonstrates the growing international confidence in the country's economy year by year.
According to data provided by the National Statistics Committee, Tashkent city leads as the region with the highest concentration of foreign-invested enterprises. Currently, 11,369 such enterprises are operating in the capital. This is attributed not only to the development of infrastructure but also to the favorable business environment.
Tashkent region ranks second, with 2,330 enterprises involving foreign investment. Thus, the capital and its surrounding region account for a total of 13,699 enterprises, representing a significant share of all such businesses in the country.
Breaking it down further by regions, Samarkand region reports 661 enterprises, Fergana region 609 enterprises, and Surkhandarya region 492 enterprises with foreign investment. In addition, Andijan region has 404 enterprises, while Bukhara region is home to 377 such businesses.
Navoi region has 307 enterprises, Syrdarya region 270, Namangan region 261, and Jizzakh region 248 enterprises with foreign investment. Additionally, the Republic of Karakalpakstan accounts for 218 enterprises, Khorezm region 196, and Kashkadarya region 158 such businesses.
Experts believe these numbers signify increasing regional economic competition and predict further growth in job creation and export potential. In short, Uzbekistan is likely to remain an attractive market for foreign investors for many years to come.
