Uzbekistan's supply of electricity to Afghanistan, which had been temporarily suspended, has been restored. This was reported by the DABS energy company.
The earthquake that occurred on the night of November 3 damaged power transmission lines in Samangan and Balkh provinces. Uzbek electricity was supplied to the neighboring country through these lines.
Restoration work was complicated by repeated tremors, landslides, and strong winds, but technical teams were able to eliminate all problems. After the networks were restored, the supply of electricity to some regions of provinces such as Kabul, Baghlan, Parwan, Panjshir, and Kapisa was resumed, DABS noted.
