The Compulsory Enforcement Bureau of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, along with its regional divisions, is carrying out forced demolitions of illegally constructed structures built arbitrarily by citizens, based on court rulings.
In particular, during the current year, compulsory enforcement actions have resulted in the demolition of a total of 201 various types of illegal structures.
For instance, based on the enforcement document of the Inter-District Civil Court of Nukus dated December 23, 2024, the demolition of a foundation (370 sq.m of land plot) arbitrarily built on Suuyenli Street, “Samambay” neighborhood (MFY) in Nukus City, was ordered, and the land was directed to be restored to its proper condition.
This enforcement document was received by the Nukus City Branch of the Compulsory Enforcement Bureau, and the state bailiff of the branch proceeded to execute the enforcement activities.
In particular, the state bailiff of the branch repeatedly explained and warned the defendant to demolish the illegal structure at their own expense.
However, the defendant did not voluntarily eliminate the illegal structure. As a result, this illegal structure was removed by Bureau employees using special technical equipment on November 18 of this year.
