Success of Uzbek startups in the Digital Startup Awards final in Tashkent

On December 12–13, the final stage of the Digital Startup Awards international program was held in Tashkent, bringing together leading innovative ideas from the region. Notably, four startup projects from Uzbekistan reached this prestigious competition's final, achieving significant results among the participants.

Representing Uzbekistan, the HGT startup was recognized as one of the most active and promising projects. Specializing in GovTech, this team won second place and was awarded a $25,000 prize. HGT is working on an innovative system that allows citizens to make payments for utility services safely, conveniently, and transparently. This solution aims to facilitate interactions between public services and citizens.

The top prize went to the Multicode startup from Kazakhstan, which secured the $40,000 grand prize. This team developed an AI-powered B2B SaaS platform for freight car operators, targeting improved efficiency in logistics and transportation.

The third place was awarded to the Telagri startup from Georgia, which received a $15,000 prize. The project offers a financial technology solution designed to simplify agricultural lending, aiming to elevate collaboration between farmers and financial institutions to a new level.

Additionally, in the “Best Women’s Startup” category, a $10,000 prize was awarded to Kyrgyzstan’s MamaSpace platform. This MedTech initiative is focused on supporting maternal health with the help of artificial intelligence.

In total, 22 startups from various countries of Central Eurasia participated in the Digital Startup Awards final. The competition covered projects in modern sectors such as artificial intelligence, fintech, edtech, GovTech, SaaS, and sustainable development. For the year 2025, the program received over 1,000 applications and featured a total prize fund of $1 million.

The final stage showcased the best projects from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Mongolia, and Uzbekistan, reaffirming Tashkent’s status as one of the key hubs for the regional startup ecosystem.
