Thousands of "Zardeks" medicines were found in a person who violated the border in Fergana

The State Security Service Border Troops, together with the internal affairs bodies, conducted another operational event aimed at combating the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and potent drugs.
It was reported that during the event, the section of the "Uzbek-Kyrgyz" state border passing through the territory of the Rishtan district of the Fergana region was illegally violated. A citizen who illegally crossed the border and entered Uzbekistan from the territory of a neighboring country was quickly detained.
It is noted that the detained person was a resident of the Uchkuprik district, born in 1983. During an inspection conducted with the participation of witnesses, a total of 9,542 units of a potent drug called "Zardeks" were found near him. According to preliminary estimates, the total cost of these medicines is 1 billion 320 million soums. The identified funds were formalized in the prescribed manner.
According to experts, the substance "Pregabalin" contained in the drug "Zardeks" is included in the list of potent substances in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan No. 818 dated September 27, 2019. Therefore, the free circulation of this article is limited, and its illegal circulation is contrary to the law.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against this citizen under part 1 of Article 223, part 1 of Article 246, and part 3 of Article 251-1 of the Criminal Code. Also, a preventive measure of "imprisonment" was applied to him.
Currently, an investigation into the incident is underway.
