In Uzbekistan, cash for gasoline and methane is completely banned

From April 1, 2026, it is planned to completely abolish cash payments for gasoline and methane in Uzbekistan.

From now on, payments for refueling, charging electric vehicles, as well as electricity, gas, and water services at gas stations will be made exclusively through bank cards and electronic payments. Payment with cash is completely prohibited.

This change is being introduced to develop a modern and convenient payment system for the population and passengers, as well as to make financial transactions more transparent and secure.

Currently, the relevant services and gas stations are carrying out the necessary preparatory work for the transition to this system.
