Measures taken against accountant for failing to execute alimony collection order

In accordance with the order issued by the Shaykhontohur District Inter-District Civil Court, it was determined that a quarter of debtor A.A.'s monthly income should be collected as alimony in favor of claimant M.A. to support their one underage child.

To ensure the execution of the enforcement document, a state enforcement officer issued a decision, pursuant to Article 64 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Enforcement of Judicial Documents and Documents of Other Authorities," to deduct the alimony amount from the debtor’s salary and sent the respective order to the workplace of the debtor.

However, the accounting department of the company where the debtor was employed failed to process the enforcement request and did not ensure its execution. As a result, the alimony debt exceeded 16 million soums.

In response to this situation, the state enforcement officer from the Bureau's district branch conducted an audit of the accounting department at the debtor’s workplace. Following the investigation, and to avoid administrative liability stipulated by law, the accountant ensured the full payment of the alimony debt exceeding 16 million soums within one day, directing the funds to the claimant’s benefit.
