FIFA has imposed sanctions on Saudi Arabia’s “Al-Nassr” football club, prohibiting the team from registering new players.
The information was announced in the relevant section of FIFA's official website. According to sources, the punishment was due to the club's outstanding debts to other teams.
Journalists from Mundo Deportivo speculate that “Al-Nassr” may have failed to fully settle payments for the transfer of defender Aymeric Laporte in 2023. Additionally, there is a possibility that the club still has outstanding dues from the earlier transfer of Ahmed Musa.
Star forward Cristiano Ronaldo currently plays for “Al-Nassr.” It is believed that he has been actively involved in the club’s transfer policies and negotiation processes.
