Drunk passenger attacks bus driver in Tashkent

In Tashkent’s Chilanzar district, a drunk passenger got into an argument with a bus driver and attacked him. The man also smashed the bus’s windshield.

According to the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred on 1 August on a route 98 bus. The 43-year-old man, who had previously been convicted, violated public order while intoxicated and argued with the driver.

When the driver tried to make him get off the bus, the passenger punched the windshield and smashed it. He then struck the driver several times in the face and neck.

A pre-investigation inquiry is currently underway. Following its completion, a legal assessment will be made and a lawful decision will be taken.
