Legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL spotted on Uzbekistan’s roads (video)

A rare car that caught the attention of automotive enthusiasts was spotted on one of Uzbekistan’s roads — the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL “Gullwing” (W198).
Produced between 1954 and 1957, this model stood out for its advanced technologies for its time. In particular, the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL was one of the world’s first mass-produced cars equipped with a direct fuel-injection system.
The model’s most distinctive feature is its upward-opening doors, reminiscent of seagull wings. It was this unusual design that made the 300 SL one of the best-known classic models in automotive history.
Today, an original 300 SL Gullwing is highly valued among collectors. Depending on the car’s year of manufacture, technical condition, original parts and history, its value at international auctions can reach several million dollars.
The appearance of such a car on the streets of Uzbekistan was a special event for classic-car enthusiasts.
