Jizzakh-based blogger Orzigul Urazmatova died in a traffic accident

A serious road traffic accident in Jizzakh claimed the life of blogger Orzigul Urazmatova, who was known on social media. The Lacetti she was driving veered off the road and collided with a tree.

The blogger was taken to hospital with severe injuries but died despite the doctors’ efforts. The exact causes of the accident have not yet been officially announced.

The tragedy occurred in the middle of the night

According to a report by Kun.uz, the accident occurred in Jizzakh city at around 00:00 on the night of August 4–5.

The Lacetti driven by Orzigul Urazmatova veered off the road while in motion and collided with a tree. The impact seriously damaged the vehicle, while the driver sustained severe bodily injuries.

Emergency medical workers arrived at the scene and took the victim to hospital. Despite the medical assistance provided, it was not possible to save her life.

She reportedly filmed a video while driving

According to preliminary information, the blogger may have been distracted by filming a video while driving and lost control of the vehicle.

However, this is not yet a final conclusion confirmed by an investigation or technical examination. To determine the cause of the accident, the vehicle’s speed, road and weather conditions, the technical condition of the vehicle, and the driver’s actions must be examined.

It is reported that videos filmed while driving had previously been posted on Orzigul Urazmatova’s social media page. This circumstance may also be examined as part of the investigation.

Even a moment’s distraction by a phone can be enough

Filming a video inside a moving car divides the driver’s attention among the road, the phone screen, and the filming process at the same time.

A car traveling at 60 kilometers per hour covers nearly 17 meters in one second. Even if a driver looks at the phone screen for just three seconds, the vehicle may travel more than 50 meters without control.

During this time, the vehicle ahead may stop, a pedestrian may step onto the road, or the car may leave the roadside. Therefore, even a short video, message, or phone call can have serious consequences.
