The number of twins born in Uzbekistan in six months has been revealed

In the first six months of 2026, 373 389 live births were registered in Uzbekistan. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee.

According to the committee’s data, 365 161 babies were registered as single births between January and June.

The number of babies born as twins was 7 996. In addition, 232 births involved three or more babies.

Thus, twins accounted for a significant share of the babies born in the country during the first half of the year.
