Real loses to Bayern: the culprit has been revealed

In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, Real Madrid once again missed their chance against Bayern Munich and were knocked out of the continent's most prestigious tournament. On aggregate, the Munich side won 6-4, securing a place in the semi-finals.
The final minutes of the decisive match in Munich were painful for Real. The team conceded two goals in the closing stages, suffering an unexpected and bitter defeat. Thus, the Spanish giant was forced to bid farewell to the tournament.
After the match, head coach Alvaro Arbeloa commented on the situation. He took full responsibility, stating that he is entirely accountable for the result.
"I am responsible for the defeats and I accept the consequences. The fans should be proud of the players who fought until the end and defended the honor of the club," said Arbeloa.
It is known that Arbeloa has been managing Real since January 2026. His current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2027.
The current season has been quite difficult for Real. The team has been knocked out of the Champions League and the Copa del Rey, and also suffered a defeat in the final of the Spanish Super Cup. This means three major trophy opportunities have vanished in one season.
In La Liga, the situation is relatively stable. Real currently sits second in the league table. However, with seven rounds remaining until the end of the championship, the team trails leaders Barcelona by nine points.
In short, the season is proving to be full of trials for Real. All attention is now focused on the battle in La Liga — although the chances for the title are steadily diminishing.
