
The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, participated in the "C5+1" format summit of Central Asian countries and the United States. This summit took place at the White House and was also attended by the leaders of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
Mirziyoyev put forward a number of initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation. Among them are proposals to establish a Secretariat for the "C5+1" format, create a Coordinating Investment Council, and launch a regional investment fund.
The president also proposed active cooperation with the United States on the implementation of major transport-communications and energy projects connecting Central Asia with the South Caucasus and European countries. Additionally, an idea was put forward to establish a special committee on critical minerals.
Mirziyoyev paid special attention to the development of the agricultural sector. He suggested creating a Regional Cooperation Initiative, making use of U.S. experience in agrotechnological innovations.
At the end of the summit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to hold the next "C5+1" summit in Samarkand. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
