It became known when the simplification of customs procedures will begin

From March 1, 2026, new measures aimed at simplifying customs procedures and reducing business costs will come into force in Uzbekistan. This follows from the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In particular, the fee for customs clearance of goods by pre-declaration before their arrival at the customs checkpoint will be reduced by 20%. Also, when paying customs duties in installments or with a deferral, interest is not accrued for the first 14 days.

From May 1, 2026, another benefit will be introduced: when processing goods based on a periodic declaration, it will be possible to pay customs duties separately for each imported batch. It is also planned to expand the scope of automated customs clearance.

If no risks are detected in the customs information system, the declarations will be processed automatically. This applies to large taxable imported goods, state organizations and enterprises in which more than 50% of the share belongs to the state, as well as export goods not subject to tariff and non-tariff restrictions.
