
A branch of Fitch Group has provided the Sustainable Fitch Uzbekistan Airports company with an ESG rating, the company's press service reports. The company received a rating of "3" in the ESG rating and a total of 48 points.
This indicates that Uzbekistan Airports has stable indicators in the areas of ecology, social responsibility, and corporate governance. Sustainable Fitch highly appreciated Uzbekistan Airports' environmental strategy, including plans to bring waste to Net Zero by 2050, measures to reduce the carbon burden, and the use of green energy.
In the social sphere, the agency emphasized the stability of the occupational safety system and personnel. Corporate governance encompassed the activities of board committees, internal audit, and transparency.
The company also plans to obtain the first level of Airport Carbon Accreditation for eight airports and the second level for Tashkent Airport at the beginning of 2026.
