US President Donald Trump announced on the social network Truth Social that the "C5+1" summit held in Washington marked the beginning of "new, wonderful relations" with Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries. "This is a strategically important region—located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, possessing vast mineral resources, hydrocarbons, and human talent.
As the US president, I intend to participate actively in this process," said the head of the White House. According to Trump, by the end of the summit, the parties had reached agreements worth billions of dollars.
These agreements will create jobs in the US in aviation, critical mineral extraction, and other sectors. Trump also emphasized that Uzbekistan will invest $35 billion in the US economy by 2028, and over $100 billion in the following decade.
The US president expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan’s leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During the Uzbek president’s visit to the US, the parties signed a package of documents.
Among them are cooperation agreements on the development of rare earth elements, the purchase of 22 Boeing aircraft, as well as agreements on the purchase of soybeans and soybean meal. During the summit, the president of Uzbekistan noted that only the current US president is capable of stopping the war in Ukraine.
Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude to Trump for the attention paid to the Central Asian region, adding that in Uzbekistan, Trump is referred to as the "president of peace." Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
