Uzbekistan's population size has been announced

As of April 1 of this year, the permanent population of Uzbekistan reached 38,382,700, an increase of 1.8 percent compared to the same period last year. The National Statistics Agency provided this data.
It is noted that during the period of January–March 2026, the number of births was 191,100, while the number of deaths was 43,500. Thus, the natural population increase amounted to 147,600 people.
In the total population structure, women account for 18,979,000, while men account for 19,257,700.
Additionally, the number of people who moved to the country from foreign states was 721, while 2,277 people emigrated abroad. The number of registered marriages was 42,300, while divorce cases reached 12,700.
By region, the largest population was recorded in Samarkand Region, totaling 4,396,800. Fergana Region (4,239,400) and Andijan Region (3,533,900) follow in the rankings.
