The emirate of Dubai, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United Arab Emirates, has adopted a new law aimed at protecting the health of tourists and local residents. Now, everyone visiting the emirate will be required to provide reliable information about their health and strictly adhere to sanitary rules. This is reported by Gulf News.
According to the requirements of the newly adopted law, everyone visiting Dubai will be required to strictly follow official sanitary protocols. Particular attention will be paid to citizens who are sick with or may have contracted an infectious disease.
According to the law, if tourists show symptoms of an infectious disease, they must immediately notify the relevant authorities, wear a medical mask and maintain social distancing. The new document also sets strict requirements for the population and medical institutions.
Persons who are infected with an infectious disease or are suspected of having it are strictly prohibited from concealing their illness, as well as leaving their place of residence without official permission from the Dubai Health Authority. They are required to avoid contact with other people and strictly follow the instructions of the authorized medical authorities.
The new Law No. 5 “On Public Health in the Emirate of Dubai” was signed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
This law will enter into force 90 days after the date of its official publication. The document repeals all previous legislative provisions that were in force and contradict it.
The effective implementation of the law requires close cooperation and active engagement between the public and private sectors. This, in turn, will further strengthen Dubai's public health protection system and ensure a safe environment for tourists. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
