At Ufa airport, customs officers seized a rare Soviet silver coin from 1921 — a 1 ruble. A passenger who tried to secretly bring this coin to Tashkent was caught.

According to the information, the man stated that he was taking the coin “for luck” and emphasized that he did not know it was necessary to declare items of cultural value. According to experts, this coin is considered the first and in history the last silver ruble issued into circulation by the Soviet government.

Expert analysis confirmed its authenticity. An administrative case has been initiated against the person who attempted to take the coin for violating declaration and customs regulations.
