Postecoglou: “We believed and pressed to break the trophyless streak”
Tottenham Hotspur manager Angelos Postecoglou has given his team a fitting assessment after their crucial Euro 2016 win. The coach spoke in an interview about the team's success in the play-offs and the club's long-standing trophy drought.

"I still need time to digest what happened. But I know how much this win means to the club. When you go so long without a trophy, it's so hard to overcome," said Postecoglou.

The coach stressed that play-offs are different from regular league games and that confidence and a clear tactical approach are crucial in such matches:

"I've always said that knockout games are different. In these games you have to believe in yourself and have a clear plan. Today we had confidence. I believed we could win."

Postecoglou also spoke about his experience against Manchester United: “We knew that if we pressed early, United would not be as effective in attack. That’s why our team tried to damage their attacks with high pressing and it worked.”

Zamin.uz editorial team will be closely following this historic achievement of Tottenham, the coach’s decisive approach and the further development of the team. What other successes do you think Tottenham can achieve next season?
