The former head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Temur Kapadze, is currently in Indonesia. Due to various rumors surrounding his visit, the specialist clarified the situation at a small press conference held today.
Kapadze emphasized that this trip is not directly related to football. He visited Indonesia at the invitation of a large company operating in the local tourism sector.
"The main reason I came here is an offer from a tourism company. I don't plan to conduct any official talks or interviews with the Indonesian national team yet. At the same time, I will consider all proposals coming to me. "I am open to any constructive proposal," said the coach.
At the same time, Kapadze confirmed that there was a certain level of communication with PSSI - the Indonesian Football Federation. However, he noted that this conversation cannot be accepted as an official invitation.
"Yes, there was contact with the federation. I had a brief conversation with Sumarji, but it wasn't an official invitation. The questions were mainly general, for example: "Would you like to work in Indonesia?." I said that I would like to come to this country and that I could think about the matter after the visit. Some questions were general, such as: "Would you like to cooperate with Indonesia?" I answered these questions accordingly," the expert added.
These comments from Kapadze clarified to some extent the rumors about the "new head coach" that had emerged among the football community in Indonesia. However, the coach himself admits that future plans remain open - meaning that new rich opportunities may emerge in the future.
