Barcelona announces another transfer: Karim Adeyemi joins the Catalans

Spanish club Barcelona continues its activity in the summer transfer window. After the signing of Anthony Gordon, the Catalans have officially announced the acquisition of Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi. This transfer is seen as a significant step in strengthening the attacking line of the team under Hansi Flick. This is reported by Goal.com reports .

According to Goal.com, the total value of the transfer is 29 million euros. Of this, 22 million euros is a guaranteed fee, while the remaining 7 million euros will be paid in various bonuses. Additionally, Borussia Dortmund will receive a percentage of any future sale of the player. The talented German winger has signed a long-term contract with the "Blaugrana" until June 30, 2031.

Changes in the attacking line

Karim Adeyemi is Barcelona's second major signing this summer. Previously, the club spent 80 million euros on Newcastle's Anthony Gordon. With the arrival of Adeyemi, the team's wing attack is now fully formed. Hansi Flick now has the fast German winger at his disposal alongside stars like Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.

At the same time, there are departures from the squad. Marcus Rashford, who spent last season on loan with the Catalans, has left the team. The Barcelona board decided not to activate the 30 million euro purchase option agreed with Manchester United. This decision was made to save financial resources for new transfers.

Future plans and new targets

During his career, Adeyemi trained at the academies of Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, and had been playing professionally for Borussia Dortmund since 2022. In the Dortmund jersey, he made 146 appearances and scored 36 goals. His speed and dribbling are expected to fit well into Hansi Flick's tactical schemes.

Barcelona will now focus on selling players and balancing the squad. The club needs at least one central defender and a center-forward who can replace Robert Lewandowski. Aymeric Laporte is seen as the main candidate for the defense, while in attack, president Joan Laporta's main dream remains Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez.
