23 higher education institutions of Uzbekistan have been included in the QS Asia University Rankings for 2026. According to this ranking, the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers achieved the highest result, taking 103rd place in Asia with a score of 67.4.
Additionally, in the top 200 list, the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek was ranked 180th, while Tashkent State University of Economics took 274th place. Within the top 500, Tashkent State Technical University (301st place) and Samarkand State University (307th place) were also included.
The rest of the universities, including information technology universities as well as regional universities in Fergana, Bukhara, and Urgench, ranked between 550+ and 1300. The absolute leader of the ranking was once again the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Furthermore, universities from Hong Kong, China, and South Korea also made it into the top ten.
