
An energy storage system with a capacity of 300 MW is planned to be built in the Navoi region. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.
The agreement on the construction was signed with Masdar company at the ADIPEC 2025 international forum held in Abu Dhabi. The project is aimed at increasing the stability of the energy system and developing infrastructure for green energy storage.
Additionally, during the forum, a contract was signed with AMEA Power for the construction of another energy facility with a capacity of 200 MW. According to the ministry, during negotiations in Abu Dhabi, the Uzbek delegation exchanged views with representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Germany, the USA, and the UK on ongoing projects and plans to expand cooperation in the field of renewable energy.
