Uzbekistan joined the UN Protocol on Water and Health

Uzbekistan has joined the UN Protocol on Water and Health Issues. It was noted that this decision is of great importance.

This document unites 29 countries and serves to strengthen water supply, sanitation, and hygiene systems. According to Olga Mirshina, a specialist from the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, climate change and water supply issues are having a major impact on the country.

According to her, the protocol will serve as an important tool for introducing sanitation and hygiene standards in public places. This document is the only international legal agreement that directly links the fields of ecology, water resources, and health.
