The US government may "freeze" arms supplies to Ukraine
Another serious confrontation has arisen on the world political stage, reports politico.com. US President Donald Trump, during a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on July 7, emphasized the need to supply more defensive weapons to Ukraine. In his opinion, Ukraine must be able to defend itself, as the country is currently facing serious threats and attacks.

Trump also reiterated his dissatisfaction with the results of the July 3 telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He assessed Russia’s current position as dangerous and put forward the idea that Putin "intends to go all the way." Against the background of such relations, Russian troops launched a record number—550—of missiles and drones at Ukraine in one night.

Among US officials, discussions are also underway about the possible “freezing” of part of military aid to Ukraine. According to politico, this decision will become clear after negotiations between US Special Representative Keith Kellogg and Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The first meeting is scheduled for July 10–11 in Rome, and the second for a few days later at the international Ukraine Recovery Conference in Kyiv.

On July 2, American media reported that the US had partially suspended deliveries of several important weapons and munitions to Ukraine. Among them are interceptors for the Patriot system, Stinger man-portable air defense systems, NASAMS air defense systems, and missiles for F-16 fighter jets. Experts note that this move could severely affect the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ ability to repel increased Russian air attacks.
