The head of the Polish National Security Bureau, Slavomyr Szenkevich, admitted that the country is in a state of real war with Russia in cyberspace. The Financial Times reported this.
He emphasized that this is no longer a simple threat, but an open clash on the "cyberfront." According to Senskevich, Russia has established a network of agents financed through cryptocurrencies in EU countries.
This network, according to the head of the agency, is carrying out "hybrid attacks" against European security infrastructures. These attacks range from disrupting airspace through drones to threats aimed at disabling critical infrastructure.
Senskewicz also emphasized that NATO will remain the most important and reliable military alliance for Poland. "Poland relies on NATO and will continue to strengthen this relationship," he said.
Experts believe this statement could further escalate tensions in relations with Russia. The European Union is discussing additional measures in this regard.
