New findings on hair loss drinks and diet

Regular consumption of sugary carbonated drinks and alcohol can increase the likelihood of hair loss. At the same time, it is noted that a sufficient amount of vitamin D and iron in the body is closely related to thick and strong hair.

This conclusion was reached through a comprehensive system analysis published in the journal Nutrition and Health. This study included 17 scientific works involving a total of 61,332 people (97% of them women) from the USA, Europe, and Asia.

Experts note that high levels of vitamin D and iron are combined with good hair growth and a decrease in the risk of alopecia. Otherwise, alcohol or various sweet carbonated drinks were often accompanied by premature graying and thinning of hair.

In addition, some studies have noted the positive effect of soy products, vegetables (including broccoli, cabbage), and special vitamin supplements. According to the authors, such products can occupy an important place in the diet.

At the same time, scientists emphasized that the conclusions on this issue are not yet final. According to them, in cases of complaints about hair loss, it is advisable to first check the level of vitamin D and ferritin (iron reserve) in a person's blood. By filling these gaps, as well as limiting sugary and alcoholic beverages, positive changes can be achieved.

However, experts remind us that heredity (genetics) and the general state of human health are crucial factors.
