Incorrectly connected gas: resulted in the death of 3 people
On December 2 of this year, a criminal case was opened against the responsible persons of the Bek Family Cafe catering establishment in the Taraqqiyot neighborhood of Gulistan after the explosion of a liquefied gas cylinder.
According to preliminary information collected before the investigation, the tragedy occurred as a result of a leak of hydrocarbon gas from a 50-liter propane gas cylinder connected to the kitchen fireplace in violation of fire safety rules, which formed a mixture with air and caused a terrible explosion as a result of its explosion.
Victims and ongoing treatment
As a result of this explosion, a total of 29 citizens received burns of varying degrees and were taken to the emergency medical center. Unfortunately, 3 citizens died due to severe injuries sustained.
Five of the victims received the necessary medical assistance and were discharged home after their condition was deemed satisfactory. The remaining patients continue to receive qualified medical care in inpatient settings.
3 managers are in custody, the investigation is under control
A criminal case has been initiated under several articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In particular, 3 officials of Bek Family Cafe LLC were detained in a procedural order.
Several serious articles of the Criminal Code relate to the situation:
- Article 19211 (violation of safety regulations),
- part 2 "a, b" of Article 257,
- A criminal case has been initiated under Article 259, Part 2, "a, b."
Currently, all necessary investigative actions are being carried out by an investigative group consisting of specialists from partner agencies, headed by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Head of the Investigative Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ramazon Ashropov. The investigation process is under strict control, and it is planned to provide additional information to the public based on its results.
This incident once again reminded us of the grave consequences of neglecting safety regulations.
