Investigation launched into student poisoning in Andijan

Reports have circulated on social media regarding students suffering from food poisoning at the Andijan branch of Kokand University. While initial reports suggested over 40 students were affected, the Andijan Regional Prosecutor's Office has provided an official statement on the matter.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, on May 5 of this year, 15 students from the Andijan branch of Kokand University felt unwell after eating at the university canteen. Subsequently, they exhibited signs of mass poisoning and were hospitalized.

This incident has naturally caused serious concern among parents, students, and the public. Food service in educational institutions is not just a matter of service, but is directly linked to the health and safety of young people. Sanitary regulations, product quality, and preparation processes in canteens must be under constant supervision.

Currently, the Andijan City Prosecutor's Office is conducting a pre-investigation check into the incident. The investigation is expected to examine the cause of the poisoning, how food products were stored in the canteen, whether sanitary requirements were met, and the actions of the responsible individuals.

The Andijan Regional Prosecutor's Office stated that the investigation process is under their control. Based on the final findings, a legal assessment will be made, and a lawful decision will be ensured.

In such situations, the most important thing is not to conceal the incident, but to conduct an open investigation and identify the causes. A single instance of negligence can affect the health of dozens of young people. Therefore, it is necessary to pay more serious attention to the catering system in educational institutions.

In short, an investigation has begun into the student poisoning at the Kokand University Andijan branch. Authorities are now expected to determine the root causes and take legal action against those responsible. When it comes to health, there should be no 'it will pass' attitude.
