Villarreal defeats Valencia in the derby to move up to third place

In La Liga's matchday 10, a derby was held between Valencia and Villarreal. The visitors prevailed in the match and secured three points.

In the 45th minute, Villarreal player Jose Copete committed a foul against Valencia striker Gerard Moreno. With the help of the VAR system, the referee awarded a penalty in favor of the visitors.

Moreno's precise strike opened the score and put Villarreal ahead. In the 57th minute of the second half, Georges Mikautadze broke through the opponent's penalty area from the left flank.

The goalkeeper saved his shot, but Santi Comesaña sent the ball into the net, making the score 2:0. Valencia player Pape Gueye fired a powerful shot from distance, but the ball went over the crossbar.

Danjuma's 15-meter shot was neutralized by Villarreal's goalkeeper and defenders working together. After this victory, Villarreal climbed to third place, trailing Barcelona by two points and Real Madrid by four.
