Amid intense debates surrounding the World Cup draw, France national football team coach Didier Deschamps shared his opinion. According to him, Group I, where "Les Bleus" have been placed, stands as one of the toughest and most competitive groups in the tournament.
Deschamps described Senegal as a very strong and physically stable team. He also spoke positively about Norway, emphasizing that the Scandinavian side is one of the most well-organized and cautiously playing teams in Europe.
“This group is genuinely challenging. I cannot label any opponent as easy. We certainly have great ambitions, but for now, we must set those aside and focus on performing well in the group stage. We will think about the next stage only after that. Additionally, I’m pleased that France is in a group playing within our usual time zone,” Deschamps told *L’Equipe* in an interview.
It is known that France, alongside Senegal and Norway, is also awaiting the playoff winner to complete the group. Iraq, Bolivia, or Suriname teams are competing for this spot.
From Deschamps' remarks, it is clear that the French team is fully aware of the challenges ahead and is preparing diligently with caution and resolve, without underestimating any opponent.
