According to the Collins English Dictionary, "vibe-coding" was chosen as the word of the year for 2023. This term refers to a new method of programming: instead of writing code, a person explains the task in words, and artificial intelligence turns that description into a ready-made program.
This method allows even those who do not know how to program to create software. The term "vibe-coding" became popular after a social media post in early 2023 by OpenAI cofounder Andrey Karpathy.
He wrote: "This is a new way of coding, which I call 'vibe-coding.' You follow your pure inner feelings, forget that code exists, and only focus on the tasks.
I barely touch the keyboard. I set very simple and lazy requirements, such as 'halve the width of the sidebar,' because I'm too lazy to look it up myself.
I always click the 'accept all' button. If I get an error message, I just copy and paste it without any explanation; usually, that fixes the issue.
I create a project or web application, but this is not full programming—I only see one thing, say one thing, run one thing, copy and paste, and this often works." Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
