
On December 23, most regions of Uzbekistan will experience generally stable but cool weather conditions. According to the Uzbekistan Hydrometeorological Service (Uzhydromet), variable cloud cover will be observed in Tashkent city with no precipitation expected during the day. Daytime temperatures will range from 5 to 7 degrees Celsius.
At night, temperatures in the capital are forecasted to drop significantly to around –4 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of light snowfall or fog, particularly in the early morning hours, which would require extra caution from drivers.
In addition to Tashkent region, the regions of Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya are also expected to have daytime temperatures from 2 to 7 degrees Celsius. At night, these areas could see temperatures drop to between –2 and –7 degrees Celsius, with some locations likely experiencing fog.
The regions of Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, and Surkhandarya will see relatively warmer daytime weather, with temperatures hovering between 7 and 12 degrees Celsius. At night, temperatures will vary from –4 degrees Celsius to 2 degrees Celsius.
In the Fergana Valley regions, daytime temperatures will range from 0 to 5 degrees Celsius. At night, some parts may experience snowfall, with temperatures possibly dropping to –5 degrees Celsius.
Mountainous areas of the country will have daytime temperatures between –3 degrees Celsius and 2 degrees Celsius. At night, it will be much colder at –8 to –13 degrees Celsius. Additionally, there remains a risk of avalanches in mountainous regions, with snowfalls and fog expected in certain locations.
Experts recommend increased caution amid such weather changes, particularly when planning journeys in mountain areas or on the roads.
