Uzbekistan increases gold exports by 49.4 percent
Uzbekistan exported gold worth a total of $9.9 billion during the first 11 months of 2025. According to the National Statistics Committee, this figure represents a 49.4 percent increase year-on-year.

As of the beginning of December, the country's total foreign trade turnover exceeded $72.8 billion, reflecting a 21.8 percent rise compared to the previous year. During this period, Uzbekistan's key trade partners were China, Russia, and Kazakhstan.

The share of these countries accounted for 42.3 percent of the republic's foreign trade. It is worth noting that on December 22, the price of gold surpassed $4,400 per ounce for the first time.

According to Reuters, this increase is linked to geopolitical tensions and trade uncertainty. In addition, the weakening of the U.S. dollar also contributed to the rise in the price of precious metals, making gold more attractive to foreign investors.

By the morning of December 23, the price of gold reached $4,485, indicating a 0.94 percent rise in a single day. Since the beginning of the year, gold prices have surged by 70.1 percent.
