US President Donald Trump presented Kazakhstan's leader, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, with a symbolic key to the White House and a baseball cap signed with his own hand. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of Kazakhstan, Ruslan Zheldibay, on his Telegram channel.
It was reported that the gifts were sent by Trump to Tokayev after the credentials ceremony of the accredited Kazakh ambassador to the USA. The US President expressed warm wishes to the head of Kazakhstan and described him as a calm and experienced statesman with a deep understanding of international processes.
As a reminder, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a working visit to Washington at the beginning of November. During the visit, he held talks with Donald Trump, as well as participated in the "C5+1" summit. This format is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the countries of Central Asia - Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the USA.
According to political observers, such symbolic gifts testify to the fact that relations between the two countries are developing on the basis of warmth and mutual respect.
