One of the causes of the crash in the US has been revealed
The causes of the tragic crash between a passenger plane and a US Army Black Hawk helicopter over Washington, D.C., on January 30 of this year have been determined, The New York Times reports, citing expert reports.

It turned out that the control center at Ronald Reagan National Airport was understaffed that day, and therefore only one controller was assigned to monitor the movement of the plane and helicopter.

According to experts, when the Black Hawk helicopter approached the airport, the pilots requested permission to switch to visual control (manual control) without receiving instructions from the controller. Although this request was approved, this decision was one of the main reasons that led to the crash.

Experts say that despite receiving repeated warnings from the co-pilot and the instructor in charge of the helicopter to reduce altitude, the helicopter pilot Rebecca Lobach ignored them. If she had reduced altitude and taken those warnings into account, the collision with the passenger plane could have been avoided.

Recall that as a result of this terrible tragedy, both aircraft crashed into the Potomac River. The plane, which was flying from Kansas, was carrying four crew members and 60 passengers. It was reported that among the passengers were athletes from the US figure skating team and their coaches.

The Black Hawk military helicopter was carrying three servicemen, and unfortunately, none of the people on both aircraft survived.

The investigation is currently ongoing, and experts are analyzing the causes of this disaster in more depth.
