Why I bought a Skoda Kodiaq and how the dealer disappointed me

It has always been an interesting topic how much automotive experts follow their own advice. I recently decided to buy one of the cars I had recommended myself. My choice fell on the Skoda Kodiaq iV model. This car had won tests among family crossovers and has now found its place in my household. This is reported by Autocar.co.uk reports .
I purchased a nine-month-old Sportline trim car with 13,000 miles on the clock for £34,000. Since the new price was £48,500, I consider this a very good deal. However, the purchasing process clearly highlighted some shortcomings in the 2026 car market.
Actually, I was looking for a model with the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) system. Since this system is standard on the Sportline version, I had to choose this specific model because I wanted a more comfortable ride. Although the exterior is sporty, its adaptive dampers ensure a very smooth ride on the road.
The data regarding the car's 56-mile electric range was confirmed in practice. I was also satisfied with the performance and noise level of the petrol engine. Nevertheless, the quality of service at the dealership and the limited selection options caused some inconvenience during the purchase process.
