The sale of counterfeit and uncertified medicines has been banned in the Fergana region. This was reported by the State Drug Control Service.

A citizen living in the city of Kokand was detained by law enforcement agencies with material evidence while loading 2005 ampoules of "Midokalm" and 750 ampoules of L-Lizin Essinat, as well as the necessary paper boxes and instructions for packaging, into his "Lacetti" car from one of the houses in the Shikorbegi mahalla citizens' assembly.

Then, during an inspection of this house, it was revealed that 1,177 Actovegin tablets, 165 Tavegil tablets, 30 L-Lizin Essinat tablets, 2,700 ampoules of unbranded medicines were being stored, as well as special paper boxes of medicines, instructions for their use, forged labels, and plastic containers with colored paints that change the names of the medicines.

According to the expert's conclusions, the medicines taken as material evidence were counterfeit and did not comply with the storage conditions, and their sale and use in medical practice in Uzbekistan are prohibited. The total value of these counterfeit medicines is 78 million soums.

This person has previously committed acts of preparation and storage of counterfeit medicines for the purpose of trafficking, and despite the fact that a criminal case under Article 186-3, Part 2, Subparagraph “b” of the Criminal Code is currently being considered in court, he has repeatedly committed a crime.

Currently, a criminal case under Article 186-3 of the Criminal Code has been initiated against both citizens.
