Large drug gangs detained in Syrdarya and Namangan

The State Security Service announced the results of another major operation. Thanks to operational measures carried out in Syrdarya and Namangan, a secret laboratory for the production of synthetic drugs was exposed, and the activities of several drug dealers were stopped.

It turned out that a 30-year-old man living in the city of Gulistan and his 29-year-old spouse, as well as a partner born in 1995, turned one of their apartments into a "narcotics laboratory." They were engaged in the production of mephedrone based on imported raw materials and its sale via the Internet.

During the operation, 4 kilograms 373 grams of mephedrone, electronic scales, a mixer, gas masks, zip bags, and packaging materials were seized as material evidence. According to the information, they were connected via the Internet to an international narcotics network operating in the CIS.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against three suspects under Article 273, Part 5 ("Production and distribution of narcotic drugs") of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, and they have been detained.

At the same time, the State Security Service also exposed several major drug trafficking cases in Namangan. A 50-year-old resident of the Uchkurgan district was detained while attempting to illegally cross the state border. During the inspection, 9 kilograms 702 grams of hashish were found in his bag.

According to the investigation, he intended to smuggle the substance into Uzbekistan from Kyrgyzstan. A criminal case has been initiated under Articles 223 and 246 of the Criminal Code, and the suspect has been arrested.

In addition, another smuggling network was discovered in the city of Namangan. A citizen born in 1990 was detained while smuggling potent and counterfeit drugs from Kyrgyzstan into the territory of the Yangikurgan district.

During the inspection, 24,122 units of "Regapen," 4,880 units of "Tropikamid," and more than 61,000 counterfeit medicines of 45 types, totaling more than 3.2 billion soums, were seized from him.

Operational groups continued the investigation and identified five individuals in Namangan and Kosonsoy districts who ordered and distributed these medications. It turned out that they were engaged in the illegal drug trade in Tashkent and the Fergana Valley.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against them, and investigative actions are underway.

As noted by the State Security Service, preventive measures have been intensified throughout the country as part of the "Cyber Culture Development Month." Over the past 10 months, 44% of crimes detected in the regions were cybercrimes.

Analysis shows that criminals often try to deceive citizens through fake services such as "easy income" and "cash out the limit" via Telegram and Instagram.

Law enforcement agencies urge citizens to exercise caution in such situations, avoid inaccurate links, and immediately report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
