Islombek Ismoilov Praised Dinamo’s Young Players

One of the key matches of the Super League’s 15th round was played between Dinamo and Neftchi. The match in Samarkand ended goalless at 0-0, Dinamo PFK’s press service reported.

After the match, Neftchi head coach Islombek Ismoilov answered journalists’ questions at a press conference. He said both teams had tried to play attacking football.

“Everyone knows that both teams play attacking football. There were plenty of attacks and scoring chances on both sides, but the match was missing a goal. We will study our mistakes,” Ismoilov said.

The coach also answered a question about Neftchi’s strong squad failing to make the difference in this match. He said Dinamo’s lineup could not be considered weak either.

Ismoilov noted that, alongside experienced player Bahodir Nasimov, the Samarkand team has young and developing footballers such as Firdavs Abdurahmonov, Oybek O‘rmonjonov and Behruzbek Obloqulov. In his view, Anvarjon Hojimirzayev is also in good form at the moment.

“These lads are not yet well known, but Dinamo’s youngsters at this age in Uzbekistanare considered among the best,” Neftchi head coach Ismoilov said.

Ismoilov said that a strong squad does not always guarantee victory. As an example, he cited Spain’s failure to beat Cape Verde at the World Cup.

The coach noted that staying near the top of the table and challenging for the title is not easy. Dinamo entered the match against Neftchi with nothing to lose and produced a good performance.
